09/17/2008 12:21 PM Alert

I have Housemenu skin object 01.04.01.beta working great in most regards using the House of Nuke CSS graciously posted to this forum. It works in Firefox, IE6 and IE7.

But in IE6 I have spacing problems in the menu bar which I have not been able to fix with CSS spacing tweaks or IE6 hacks. The menu bar  has a wide bottom margin in IE6 and the sub menus are also effected. If I adjust the spacing for IE6 it is then off in other browsers.

houseofnuke.com works great in all three browsers. Obviously the menu itself is not at fault!  Perhaps the difference is the  houseofnuke.com menu is in a table cell and mine is in a div? I'd rather not use tables but that is one possible fix.

I see that DNN 04.09.00 makes it easy to use conditional CSS for IE. Upgrading to 04.09 would give me another possible way to fix the problem.

But before I resort to this I wonder if anyone here has suggestions for making the exising CSS work? The House of Nuke menu CSS I used was posted in this thread:

Any input will be appreciated.

On further research I realize the House of Nuke CSS already uses the _height setting, which only ie6 will see due to it's unique tolerance for the underscore prefix. Tweaking these _height settings makes everything match neatly.

Thanks and sorry for my ignorance,

Kirk
